Great Expectations: A guided conversation about postpartum preparation  Saturday, January 20th, 10am-12pm Suggested donation: $10     The childbearing year brings many changes and challenges to individuals and couples as they prepare their  homes and hearts for a new baby. And everyone brings their own personalities and perceptions along with them  on their parenting journey right from the start. We are influenced by our upbringings, our families, our  cultures, personal biases, current societal trends and more. On Sunday, January 21st, we start a very wonderful partnership with Brenna Kempf, a gifted and kind friend of littles. She will be offering an Expo Day with two different time slots for Momma and Me Yoga and Kidding Around Yoga (ages 2-4). Pleas join us! And if you are interested in attending regularly, please vote for the time that works best for you with your attendance on Sunday. Based on attendance, she will offer ongoing Momma and me and Kidding Around Yoga.

One of my sadhana's (spiritual practices) during challenging times, is to look for the clearest, easiest path. I know we are taught that struggle brings glory and good things come to those who wait. In my life, however, I've found that when I am most unclear, if I step back, allow the clouds of ego to part, what the great Quaker teacher Parker Palmer calls "way opening" becomes obvious. As does what he calls "way closing." I can sometimes get mired in turning backwards, ruminating on the door that has closed. This time, I only looked at that door for a little tiny bit, because the way opening was almost immediately and abundantly clear. Need a new space? Here it is. Need help? Here it is. Herbs for Womb Care 101 Friday, January 5th, 5:45-7pm Join Anne Na Phatthalung for a workshop on healing herbs for the womb and reproductive health. A great introduction to herbal allies for reproductive experiences, including pregnancy and postpartum care, menopause and loss. This workshop honors the knowledge of the wombspace, and will connect related topics such as digestion, foods, fertility, mood, and inflammation. Course content is appropriate for all bodies and expressions of gender.   Cost is $13 and includes various herbal samples on the day of class and homegrown herbs to take home. Tea, coffee and something baked will be provided courtesy of Momming MKE.
